Using the matched hair follicles we can figure out the transformation between the two images. To do this we are using a thin plate spline function in Matlab where the matching hair follicles serve as the control points. This allows us to warp one of the two images so that it perfectly overlaps with the other one. This is illustrated in the second figure. All of this was done in Matlab.
